Description
A Mavica MVC-FD7 digital camera with a case and accessories. The camera features a "SONY" logo on the front and a picture of a 3.5" floppy disc on a grey sticker. "10x Digital/Mavica/DIGITAL STILL CAMERA MVC-FD7" is written on the front. The battery compartment can be accessed on the base and there is a large digital screen on the reverse. The compartment to load the disc is on one side of the camera. The case is blue, tan and maroon and it has a handle at the top as well as a carry strap. The main compartment can be fastened by a plastic clip and it also has a number of smaller pockets with zips. A grey plastic battery charger and a spare battery is also included. There are also five instruction booklets held in a plastic sleeve.

This was the first digital camera to be used to photograph collection items in Taranaki Museum after it was purchased in 1997. It was later used in Puke Ariki before being replaced by another digital camera in 2003.
