The serviceman on the left has been identified as Alvyn (Wyn) Ralph Gibson from Opunake who served in the 19th Battalion during the Second World War. The man on the right is his uncle, George Orrock Murdoch Gibson (1876-1946) of New Plymouth, who founded Gibson Motors Ltd. The man in the middle may be George’s son-in-law.
