"NZ Fungus 46"

Production date
1928
Description
An unframed painting of an unidentified New Zealand fungus. There are six fungi depicted, clustered together in the middle of the painting. With two of them only the underside and stem of the fungi are visible, and with the remaining four only the cap of the fungi can be seen. The cap of the fungi is a distinctive mustard colour, with a dark brown centre and smaller brown dots across the entire cap. The background of the painting depicts some green/brown shrubbery and foliage, as well as what appears to be a log on which the fungi is attached.
