George David Rorison Hall.2nd NZEF 29th Battalion. Service # 42848. Born Levin April 25th 1919 to Joseph & Louisa Hall nee Richardson. Family moved to Uruti Taranaki and farmed on the Mangahia Road. George served in Fiji,New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands. While on leave in 1942 George Hall married Miss Ruth Musker and after the Japanese surrender he returned to Uruti to farm until his retirement. He died in Waitara on 31st July 1987
