This
cannonball
was
found
at
the
mouth
of
the
Kāpuni
River.
It
is
thought
to
be
associated
with
the
bombardment
from
the
Alligator
during
the
Harriet
Incident
in
1834.
Its
size
indicates
it
could
have
been
fired
from
a
24
pounder
smooth
bore
muzzle
loading
cannon.
