A gold coloured metal medal featuring a profile of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown. " ROYAL VISIT 9th JANUARY 1954 " is embossed near the edge of the medal. The medal is attached to a red, white and blue ribbon by a swivel. A pin and clasp is attached to the top of the ribbon.
