 Description
Mundt family portrait. From left to right they are Harold Mundt, Mona Mundt (later Scherf), Arthur Mundt and Mildred Mundt (nee Roberts). Harold is seated and wears his serviceman's uniform. Mona is standing and wears a light-tone dress. Arthur is standing and is wearing a pinstripe suit. Mildred is seated and wearing a dark-tone dress with a brooch and chain necklace. Private Mundt served with the 25th Infantry Battalion and fought with them at the Battle of Cassino. At the age of 21, Private Mundt was killed in action on 16 December 1944. He is buried at Cassino Cemetery, Italy.
