This serviceman is Lieutenant Colonel Edgar William Aked (WWII 26502). He served with the 24th Infrantry Battalion and Commanding Officer of 210 British Liaison Unit with 3 Greek Mountain Brigade (1944-45). Born 12 February 1911 in Liverpool, England. Later emigrated to New Zealand with his parents. Known to have lived in New Plymouth c. 1938-40. He later lived in Tauranga, New Zealand.
