Oral history. Born 1930, Tonga. Adopted. Speaks of Tongan way of life, the outbreak of War. Arrived New Zealand on the SS Matua. Received schooling at Kaipara. Trained as motor mechanic. Went overseas on holiday, met his future wife Martha at the Scandinavian Club, Auckland. Travelled extensively in New Zealand and overseas. Back to New Zealand and settled in New Plymouth. Talks of his family and renovating his house.
