Description
Oral history. Born in 1922, Dirva, Czechoslavkia, Arnost talks of his education at the University of Prague and his experiences during the Second World War. His family estate was confiscated by the Communists 1950. He talks of family matters and his emigration to New Zealand and refugee status. Employed as chemist at Ivan Watkins Dow, New Plymouth. He describes attributes of some New Zealanders. He met wife in the Refugee Camp.
