Eliot Millar King glass plate negatives
Production date
1910-1920
Description
A collection of nine glass plate negatives of the Awakino, Mōkau and Piopio areas. Negatives depict unidentified individuals crossing a river in an automobile, driving on a road, on the Awakino bridge and loading the vehicle onto the Mōkau River punt. There are also several views of Puketiti Station at Piopio. The sheep station belonged to Newton King. Eliot Millar King, the presumed photographer of these negatives, was Newton King's son. One of the nine negatives is badly over-exposed (no image attached to this record).
