Description
A fashion plate from "Myra's Journal of Dress and Fashion" that dates October 1st, 1884. It depicts two women in a parlour and below is titled: "Myra's Paris Patterns and Models". The women are gazing off to the viewer's left side. Both are wearing similar styles of gowns that have narrow sleeves, waists and emphasis on the bustle shape. The woman on the left is wearing a blue and white striped skirt with matching-corset style bodice that has a black piece of lace fabric draped beneath it from around the neck down to the skirt. She has a bow at her hip, shoulder and in her hair. The woman to the right is wearing a slightly tailored gown that is made of a brown fabric with a striped underskirt and bodice.
