Description
A fashion plate depicting three women in an outdoor scene watching swans in a pool. The plate is supplement to "The Queen" and dated April 7, 1888. It is titled: "Latest Paris Fashions". The woman who is standing is wearing a light-blue gown that has fabric draped and pulled up over the bustle. Her bodice is open in the front with a white blouse showing. The edges are trimmed with a floral pattern. She has a large hat and parasol. The other ladies are sitting in chairs. One is wearing a dark blue bodice with gold trimming and a pink skirt and the other, a bronze-coloured ensemble with blue trimming. They all have a similar shaped gowns with a small waist, narrow sleeves and white gloves.
