Description
A fashion plate depicting two women in an outdoor scene along a shorefront. It is titled: "The Fashions/Expressly designed & prepared for The 'Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine'". The woman standing is wearing a light-brown coloured ensemble with a long-waisted bodice that fastens with a line or red buttons. It has a full skirt that has layers of fabric and a train. The edges are decorated with a red scroll pattern and the bottom of the skirt has a frill. The woman who is sitting down is wearing a grey-blue coloured ensemble of a similar shape. It has a polka-dot pattern and blue pleats up the centre front. She is carrying a parasol. Both women are wearing elaborately designed hats.
