Description
A fashion plate from "Myra's Journal of Dress and Fashion/April 1st 1881" depicting two women and a small girl in a parlour scene with the words: "Myra's Paris Patterns and Models" below. The woman on the viewer's left is wearing a fancy dress, probably made of brown silk with a rouched piece hanging down the front, gold trimming and roses down the neckline. She is carrying an open fan. The child is wearing a long-waisted blue jacket and skirt with white lace trimming. The woman on the right is depicted in more formal attire, a basic brown gown with a lace ruffle edging the collar and a long tasselled belt.
