A 45rpm record titled "Folk Dances Number 2 ". The record is held in a cardboard cover. Side 1 features the tracks " Lady Goes / Round the Lady " and " Brown Eyed / Mary ". Side 2 features " Waves of Tory " and " Pop Goes the / Weasel ". The cover features a couple in American costume. The reverse of the cover features album credits and background information on dance and costume. " NEWALL SCHOOL / OKATO-TARAN /16 JUN 1966 " is stamped on the reverse.

This record was part of a series of over 70 produced by Kiwi Records, a record label owned by New Zealand publisher A.H. & A.W Reed. The Folk Dances of the World series was a regular fixture of many primary school dance classes. This record was originally used in Newall School, Okato, during the 1960s.
