Description
A large metalworking ladle with a handle that curves gradually before dropping to connect onto the bowl. The bowl has a small spout on one side and the surface is quite badly corroded but it appears to have been painted grey.

This ladle was used by Max Oliver Butcher in his coachbuilding business on Gill Street in the early-mid 1900s. Max came to New Zealand after some time spent in Canada. He was originally from England.
