Description
A War Medal 1939-45. The medal features a crowned left facing portrait of King George VI on the obverse with "GEORGE IVS VI D:G: BR OMN:REX ET :INDIAE:IMP" marked around the outside. The reverse features a lion trampling a dragon. "1939/ 1945 " is marked above the lion's tail. The ribbon features red white and blue vertical stripes and a Mention in Dispatches oak leaf emblem is mounted on the ribbon. The medal is mounted as part of a group of seven.
