Description
A Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) medal. The silver medal consists of a flory cross surmounted by a crown. A medallion at the centre of the cross features Queen Mary and King George V surrounded by the motto "FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE." The medal is attached to a rose pink ribbon edged with grey. The medal is mounted as part of a group of seven. The medal is accompanied by a leather covered case with a hinged lid. "M.B.E. MILY" is written in gold on the top of the case. The interior of the case has a sunken shape in it which is designed to fit the medal.
