Object Detail


A small metal five pointed star badge attached to a square of green fabric. "3" is embossed in the centre of the star. A metal fastener prevents the star from slipping off the fabric.

This badge belonged to Judy Jones (nee Donnelly) who attended Girl Guides in New Plymouth in the early 1960s. It is a Girl Guide 'Service Star'. Its green background relates to three years of service in the Girl Guides. It was worn on the left pocket flap of the Girl Guides uniform.
