Collection of black and white prints by Douglas Elliott from the Taranaki Herald series "Around Taranaki with a Camera". Both black and white and sepia toned, various sizes. Subject matter includes outdoor studies around New Plymouth and surrounding regions including: Hawera, Kaponga, Manaia, Ohawe, Okaiwa, Opunake, Tariki, Tongaporutu, Stratford, Urenui (Waitoetoe), Waipuku, and Waitara; landmarks such as Breakwater, Burgess Park, Hawera water tower, Lake Mangamahoe, the Mokau river and flowerpots, Moturoa Oilfields, Mount Taranaki/ Egmont, Marsland Hill, Paritutu, Pukekura Park, Sugar Loaf islands, Taranaki Port, and the Waitara River; buildings including the aerodrome at Bell Block, St Mary's Anglican Church, Patea freezing works, and the Stratford Post Office; and portraits including Mrs R Instone.
