Description
A brown leather motorcycle helmet with a chin strap and a flap to cover the rider's neck. "Velocette" is painted in gold lettering on the flap. The inside of the helmet is lined with wool. "HARD/ H & T/ WEAR" is stamped on the top on many of the brown domes on the helmet.

Velocette Motorcycles would not have been the manufacturer of this helmet. The owner undoubtedly had a Velocette motorcycle and had the Velocette script put on or, possibly, it was bought through a Velocette dealer as a promotional item.
