Description
A small souvenir medallion commemorating the New Plymouth Exhibition of Art and Industries held in December 1904 and January 1905. The obverse of the medal features Mount Egmont/Taranaki in profile and a depiction of the exhibition in the foreground. " EXHIBITION CARNIVAL " is written around the top edge and " NEW PLYMOUTH / 1904 " is written near the base of the medal. The reverse of the medal features a wreath design and the words " EXHIBITION SOUVENIR " around the edge. A small ring is threaded through a hole punched through the top of the medal.

I have a medallion from 1904 exhibition but the pictures and writing on both sides are different to the one you show. Was their more than one medallion minted?
