 Description
A British Isles souvenir rugby badge and ribbon. The badge is a small red disc featuring a golden lion mascot atop a rugby ball with a crown. There is a large simple pin attached to the back of the badge. " BRITISH ISLES RUGBY TEAM SOUVENIR NEW ZEALAND TOUR " is written in white on the circular blue border of the badge. A red white and blue striped ribbon is attached to it.

This badge was part of a large collection made by the Donnelly family of New Plymouth during the mid 1960s. It is thought to relate to the 1966 tour made by the British Isles, the team now known as the British and Irish Lions.
