Paa Mu
Description
A cabinet card portrait of Paa Mu (also known as Taa-mu or Weurangi, or as Old Kate) as an elderly woman. Paa Mu is said to have led a party of Maori in pulling up survey pegs when the disputed Waitara Block was being surveyed at the beginning of the Taranaki Wars.It has also been noted that her correct name is Keita Pamu.
