Oral history. Willem (Bill) van Gorkom talks of his attempted escape from the German occupied Holland in 1941. The goal of this recording is to correct some of the inaccuracies found in previous publications. Gorkom begins the recording by detailing his involvement with the Taranaki Tree Trust restoration efforts of the hillside across the Waimea Stream from the Willow Grove Training Centre.
