Oral history. Thomas William Verney was born in London in 1909. In this interview, he talks briefly of life in England. Verney came to New Zealand in 1925 on the S.S. Rotorua. He married Fanny Chapman Taylor in 1933 and raised a family. Verney describes taking up pottery as a hobby and speaks of other potters in the area.
