Description
Bill (William) James Guild was born in New Plymouth in 1926. Bill briefly describes his childhood and teaching career. In the early 1970's Bill incorporated pottery into his class activities and this began an interest which would last many years. He describes pottery as a teaching tool and also the technical aspects of clays and glazes. He describes different types of kilns used. Guild also mentions the names and work of other local potters.
