Description
Oral history. James Smith was born in 1904 in Nurse Water's Nursing Home in New Plymouth. His father was a farmer and Smith went to Carrington School. Smith talks about the Hurworth area in the early part of the century. He discusses the saw mills, dairy factories, the depression, various people who lived in the Hurworth area and the Stratford fire.
