 Description
Fred West wrote the reminiscences in the form of a letter to his niece Mabeth Goldfinch. Born in Yorkshire in 1897, Fred reminisces about his childhood. At the age of nine, he came to New Zealand on the ship SS Devon and the family settled at Midhirst, farming on the Norfolk Road.
