Description
A collection of papers relating to Robert Ward and wife Emily. Born in Norfolk, England, Robert Ward came to New Plymouth in 1844, opening a Primitive Methodist church at Henui. A pioneer of Primitive Methodism in New Zealand Ward moved between New Plymouth, Auckland, Wellington and other settlements planting new churches and supporting other clergy.
