 Description
The collection consists of a covering letter from Mr J. P. Webster of Devonport, Auckland, Feb 16 1969 to Herb Mullon, New Plymouth regarding a letter the writer located in a book called 'Three Years Cruise in the Australian Colonies' by R E Malone. He includes a typescript of the letter concerned which was written from the Henui Oct 14 1853. The unidentified writer gives their first impressions of the settlement having just arrived on the ship Joseph Fletcher.
