Description
Letter from May (surname unknown), 28 Oct ? (postmarked 1941), C/- Barclay's Bank, Simmond ? Street, to Keitha re a pipe which is said to have belonged to Lord Tennyson.
The letter is written on poor quality paper and has been repaired with sellotape. Part (wedge shape to the centre left) of the letter is missing.
The pipe, made from cherry wood is in the Taranaki Museum collection - A77.131.
