Oral history. Born in Harrow, England in 1926, Hazel describes her family life in England before and during the World War Two. After secretarial training Hazel joined the WRENS, working in Somerset, where she met Stewart her husband to be. Hazel was demobbed in 1946 and left for New Zealand on the ship Rangitiki and describes her first impressions of Wellington and her new life as she settled in New Zealand.
