Oral history. Sheila was born in Edinburgh in 1929. After graduating from Edinburgh University and Agricultural College, she worked in the dairy industry in Scotland as a Bacteriologist. Sheila describes her reasons for emigration, her experiences on board ship (The Captain Cook) in 1953 and her arrival in New Zealand. She describes her experiences of dairy farming in Taranaki and life with her husband Thomas. They sold their farm in 1976.
