Oral history recording. James (Jim) Barnard (1891-1988) talks with Janet Old. Jim was wounded at Gallipoli, returning to farm 600 acres in Taranaki. After selling his farm he joined Murray Roberts near Fielding and became a successful cattle and sheep buyer. After many years with the firm, he resigned and travelled through the King Country selling general goods from a van.
