An 1867 manuscript map showing the streets with sections and reserves marked, includes the Waitara River, entrance and channels, the location of the river bridge and Websters Tramway at the end of McNaughton Street. Annotation on the land assigned to the New Plymouth Company, sections sold 30 November 1867 and the location of Tates' House.
