Description
The Turuturu-Mokai Redoubt in Sec. 329, Hawera VI, attacked by Hauhaus July 12 1868. The redoubt breastwork, main entrance, guard room and tents are shown as are the whare of Captain Ross and where certain events too place during the attack. Pencil annotation by W. Gordon, 1913 states 'Since I made this plan have found from Mr C. Johnson that the angles were circular and there were only 4 tents'.
