Description
A monthly magazine published by the combined Taranaki branches of the New Zealand Homeservicemen's Association, 1946 - 1948. The publication's name was changed to the Taranaki-Wanganui Homeserviceman in November 1947.
Founded in 1943 to represent the interests of servicemen and servicewomen who were not qualified to join the RSA because they didn't serve overseas, the Association helped members obtain rehabilitation loans as well as assisted with their welfare and social needs. The magazine includes news, branch notes, sport updates, poems and stories, advertisements and recipes.
