Oral history. Morris Smillie was born at Hillsborough and attended school there. Spent time at the Hillsborough Dairy Company before spending the war years in the Army. In 1965 he joined the Inglewood County Council as noxious weeds inspector.

Attended Hillsborough school, recalls to depression. Talks of life on the farm. Reminisces about his Grandfather. Working on the farm, Army service and life as a bandsman. Worked for 10 years at the Farmer's co-op Inglewood. Joined Inglewood County Council 1965 - noxious weeds. Talks of reserves, plantations and flooding.
