Talks of her family and childhood. Father was a bullock driver for Brown's timber mills and later in partnership with Julian and Thomason. Describes schooling - rode horses to school. Working for father who at that time had a butchers shop. Describes house she lived in. Married Rowland Young and went farming. Learnt to drive a car aged 57.
