Description
Established in 1921 the choral society was placed in recess in December 1959. An attempt to reactivate the society in 1963 was unsuccessful due to a lack of singing members and the presence of several other choirs (New Plymouth City Choir and the New Plymouth Philharmonic Choir) in the city.
The minutes span from 1937 to 1964 and are type-written. The cash book (1957-1965) accounts for expenditure. The records consist of concert programmes, annual reports, newspaper clippings and correspondence (1920-1964).
