 Description
In 1947 H. D. Mullon wrote a letter to the Taranaki Herald expressing the view that the town of New Plymouth should have a concert piano similar to that gifted to Wanganui city. A committee was formed to raise funds towards the purchase of a concert grand piano.
The collection contains newspaper clippings about the formation of a Committee to raise funds for the purchase of a new concert piano for town. Plus letters from the New Plymouth Mayor's Office, Watts & Lobb, accountants and Hamilton Nimmo & Sons. 1947 - 1950
