Has been involved in Surf Club for many years - gold medals, coaching etc. Started in the Taranaki Savings Bank in 1948 and rose to be manager. Talks of the possible amalgamation with Trust Bank in 1985. Talks of trips overseas with Life Saving. Talks of his marriage and family life, military service - called up 5th intake for the Korean War.
