Oral history. Born in 1911, Eltham. Margaret talks of her childhood at Kohuratahi, her education at a country school, then to Ngaruawhahia and Matamata before heading to Auckland where she attended Northcote Junior High and Takapuna College. Went teaching but didn't go to teachers college. Describes her wedding which took place at home. Talks of raising a family and returning to teaching at Burleigh Farm, Bulls. Describes being a farmer's wife - washing machines etc.
