Description
Sydney Wright (1825-1897) and his brother John (1827-1891) arrived in New Plymouth in November 1842 and Sydney remained in Taranaki until September 1843 when he went to Wellington.
Part of a shipboard journal of Sydney's voyage on the Blenheim, covering the period 15 June to 26 October 1842. Includes an introduction written by a different hand (unidentified). Also a photocopy and transcript of the diary, a family tree of Evelyn and Wright families and a copy of 'The Wright Family in New Zealand' written by Jocelyn Scrymgeour dated June 1996.
