Description
A typescript copy of a letter from G.F. Robinson, written in Christchurch in 1923, is addressed to Will (William F Kelly). He writes of his memories of the Kelly family when visiting the Isle of Man C1848 (His mother was a Kelly) and then outlines his arrival in New Plymouth 1855. He talks of the Saunders family who are considering emigrating to New Zealand and gives advice on their suitability and concludes with a description of how the Civil Service performs functions that would in England be covered by private enterprise - such as the railways.
