Photocopies of 13 sets of letters written by and to Rev. W. Bolland and his family. They include two from Bishop Selwyn, one of which concerns the design of St Mary's Church. There are also descriptions of day-to- day life as settlers by Mrs Bolland to members of her family, a Bolland family history, and accounts of Rev. W. Bolland's death. Several also concern his son, Rev. W. E. Bolland. There is a 1903 reprint of an address by W. H. Skinner at the jubilee of St Mary's and a 1909 press report of a photo of Rev. W. Bolland unveiled in the vestry at St Mary's. Each letter is accompanied by an envelope inscribed with notes on the letter's contents.
