Description
A note found in a bottle washed up on Ngamotu Beach in 1996 by three children Aaron Waite, Kristin and Jamie George. It reads: '1905/8/4/ The Ship Pelican D.W 1'. Included in the collection are newspaper clippings about the discovery.
The bottle was presumably from the dredge Pelican which worked temporarily in the New Plymouth Harbour during 1904-1905.
