The Bomb Disposal Unit in New Plymouth in World War II.
Mrs. Naylor describes the involvement of her husband, Dick, in the New Zealand Engineering Corp's Bomb Disposal Unit. He was declared unfit for service overseas and trained as an engineer in Wellington, returning to New Plymouth as a Lieutenant. The narrative describes setting up a Bomb Disposal Unit in New Plymouth and a mine washed up on rocks near the New Plymouth Railway Station. Mrs. Naylor acted as the Unit's secretary.
